Richeson Wisconsin Plein Air Exhibition


Consortium artist/member Larry Seiler, is one of 28 Wisconsin artists that has been accepted into the Jack Richeson Wisconsin Plein Air Exhibition...hosted by the Bergstrom-Mahler Art Museum in Neenah, Wisconsin July 9th - September 18th

Plein air, is a French term meaning "in the open air"  or paintings that are executed set up on location outdoors.  In the tradition of the early Impressionists of France...and the long traditions of landscape and figure painters.

These three works were accepted into the exhibition-




Larry, will also be participating in a Richeson sponsored plein air event known as a "paint out" which is a growing and exciting trend throughout the country.  Plein air painters converge on an area of set boundaries, and over several days to a week's time paint scenes and settings.  Panels or canvases are stamped the mornings of each paint day so that no paintings in advance could be part of the shows end.   

Itinerary as follows-
August 4th, painters will converge on Brown County and Outagamie Counties; the 5th in Winnebago and Calumet Counties; the 6th, the cities of Appleton and Neenah/Menasha...


Completed works will be framed by the artists, then set up for display at Begstrom-Mahler between 2-3pm for an end show and sale...4pm-7:30pm
